IT Operations Manager
Job Duties:
The IT Operations Manager is responsible for management and support of multiple information and communication technology systems for the five branches of the Hall County Library System. This encompasses the computer network including all servers, including several domain controllers in an active directory environment, VOIP telephone network, PINES library network (including statistical reports), RFID materials handling, public PC and print management, public wireless access, Outlook mail, management of the e-rate program, keycard entry and building security system. This individual will serve as the administrator for the library website, web applications, and databases.
The IT Operations Manager holds an important place on the library’s administrative team. This individual will also plan staff technology training for staff. Demonstrated experience implementing technology, supervisory skills, good written and oral communication, and a high level of innovation are critical. Occasional weekend and evening work will be required.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or HS/GED with four years’ experience and relevant certifications.
MCSE desirable.
Three years of experience with demonstrated responsibilities and skills in administering information technology resources and services.
Written and oral Spanish (bilingual) skills desirable.
The ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
Ability to budget and work within a budget.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

The library system offers generous annual, sick, and holiday leave as well as participation in the Georgia State Health Benefit Plan and Teacher’s Retirement System. Starting salary is $60,000+ based on experience.
