Business Manager

Job Duties:

The Business Manager plans and oversees all fiscal support and records management for the five (soon to be six) branches of the Hall County Library System.  Duties include bookkeeping, payroll, budgeting, grant management, administrative support, and other related functions.

The Business Manager holds an important place on the library’s administrative team, recommending new and revised policies and acting as an on-call supervisor on a rotating basis. 

In this position, demonstrated experience with accounting and accounting software is critical. Supervisory skills, good written and oral communication, excellent organizational skills, and considerable attention to detail are required. Experience with governmental accounting and grant management is preferred. Some weekend and evening work will be required.

Job Requirements:

  •           Associate’s degree with 8 years of experience or Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience.
  •           Ability to develop a budget and work within a budget.
  •           Familiar with Georgia accounting standards and record maintenance policies.
  •           Ability to gather and analyze data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  •           Experience with personal computer and software applications include MS Office. G-Suite and MIP accounting software     experience is highly desirable.
  •           Experience with payroll, vendor checks, and W2 preparation.
  •           Experience working with auditors.
  •           Ability to develop and present to groups on topics relating to library finances.
  •           Valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license.

Long term disability insurance is provided to all full-time staff. Salary range is $50,000+ based on experience.
